Lithuanian Citizenship by Descent: Restoration, Eligibility and Dual Citizenship
Lithuania citizenship by descent is not decided by a surname, ancestry percentage, or a family story alone. The viable legal route is restoration or retention of Lithuanian citizenship through ancestry. A descendant may have a restoration route where an ancestor held Lithuanian citizenship before 15 June 1940. Dual-citizenship treatment can depend on when and why the ancestor or family left.
